Don’t Throw Away Your Confidence

I can’t wait to tell you about some new projects that I am finishing up. It’s been such a busy few weeks. Because I am in the process of finishing them this won’t be a regular blog.

It is mostly a podcast.

So please, please listen to the podcast so you can hear my heart.

In my prayer time this morning I felt the need to share some Scripture with you that I know will encourage your heart-that’s what Scripture does.

1Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and a brother of James,

To those who have been called, who are loved in God the Father and kept for a Jesus Christ:

2Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.

3Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt compelled to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to God’s holy people.

Then Jude continues by describing situations that are going on in the world. I am so thankful that he didn’t stop with only describing the problem.

There are problems all around us, but we can’t stop with the problem. God has solutions. Jude shares how beginning in verse 20…

Remember

20But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit,

21keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Build yourself up with God’s Word

and praying in the Spirit!

It’s no time to allow busy schedules to keep you from God’s Word.

It’s too important for you to neglect praying in the Spirit.

Build yourself up!

Renew your mind with Scripture.

Pray in the Spirit.

When we moved to Jacksonville after I unpacked everything I couldn’t find the lids for my plastic bowls. I reasoned that the bowls were no good without the lids, so I threw them away.

A few weeks later I found a single box under some stuff in the back of the garage. When I checked the box, there was my lids.

That mistake has been a reminder so many times, that I should be careful NOT to throw away my confidence.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Hebrews 10:35 KJV

So don’t do it. Don’t throw away your confidence.

So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. Hebrews 10:35 NIV

It will be rewarded.

Did you listen to the podcast?

I’m praying for you.

I want you to be encouraged and run your race to win. I’m rooting for you.

I can’t wait to show you the new videos that I’m working on.

God bless you.
