I was a proud mama
when my daughter, Kimberly, graduated from Aveda Beauty Institute with the highest GPA in her class. Another honor was bestowed on her when her classmates voted for her to speak for them at graduation.
Kimberly carefully prepared and practiced to hone her presentation. Ashlyn, her daughter, asked, “Are you nervous?” Kimberly answered honestly, “I am.” Ashlyn responded, “Do you want me to hold your hand?” So precious! But beyond precious, she understands something we adults seem to forget… Sometimes, we need someone to hold our hand!
Even when we are all grown up…
- Married…
- with a job…
- kids…
- a busy life…
- we still need a hand sometimes.
And God knows that.
He didn’t design us to live independent of Him. Tweet this!
So He whispers…
I wanna hold your hand!
it seems He always whispers so softly.
I have to quiet my spirit, my mind, my independent way of doing things to hear His whisper.
“For I am the LORD”
These are decadent words; so savor them slowly…
deliberately like you would a really luscious piece of chocolate.
For I amthe Lordyour Godwho takes hold of your right handand says to you,Do not fear;I will help you.Isaiah 43:13
Tweet this! It’s amazing what happens when I stand on that promise! …when I become aware that He holds my hand.
He quiets me. Peace and strength flows into me. Confidence. Hope. Faith.
Have you found that too?
But He does more than hold our hand…
He helps us…
overcome sin love give…forgive serve worship.
He helps us…
on our job. in our homes. at life in general.
And for that I am so very, very thankful! I’d love to share my free ebook that will help you be stronger. Check it out at the link below.
